Introduction to the 2015 Scheme and the NHS Pension Scheme benefits

Please be aware this event is an introduction to the 2015 NHS Pension Scheme and is aimed at new members, or existing members who are unaware of what the scheme has available.

Are you a member of the 2015 NHS Pension Scheme? Do you need more clarity on what the Scheme is and the benefits it entitles you to?

This event aims to help members understand everything you need to know about your NHS pension and how to navigate through the Scheme. The session includes:

• An overview, eligibility, and benefits of the Scheme

• Auto enrolment and the cost of being in the Scheme

• Transferring into the NHS Pension scheme

• How the 2015 scheme pension is calculated and Pension commutation

• When you can claim your pension benefits

• Tracking your pension

• How to increase your benefits

• Opting out and what you’ll be giving up

• Refunds and transferring out of the NHS Scheme

• How to nominate someone to receive your pension in the event of your death

• And finally, benefits payable in the event of your death

This event is officially delivered by the NHS Business Services Authority who administer the NHS Pension Scheme on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care.

The event is an hour and a half long, includes a scripted presentation and Q&A for anyone to ask questions at the end.

The event is free to attend but spaces are limited, and tickets must be booked in advance.

If you register and then are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can reallocate your reserved place to the next available person.
