Introduction to Sewing (Metchosin)

Bring your own machine or reserve one of our machines. We have 2 vintage Singer machines and 1 modern Janome to use.

This 3-hour beginner workshop teaches you the essentials of sewing in a small, supportive group. During the class, you will sew a reusable shopping bag while learning how to operate a sewing machine.

You’ll be guided through machine setup, threading, and basic care, with plenty of hands-on practice and individual support. All materials are included, making it easy to get started with no prior experience.

Ideal for beginners who want a straightforward, skill-focused introduction.
