We are pleased to present an introductory workshop to transition from dancing on1 to on2.
If you have seen couples dancing, and you've wondered why they seem to be both in time with the music and each other, and yet dancing "out of time" I.E. not on the 1 count, then there's a pretty high chance they're dancing on 2.
Or you've been to an event and been asked " on1 or on2 ? " And you wonder what the difference is....
Perhaps you simply want to learn more about the music and different ways to understand and interpret it.
Many salsa dancers across the world learn to dance on 2 to connect more with the music and each other. If you feel like you're missing something from salsa this might be it!
In this workshop we'll explore some of the fundamental instruments in salsa music and the rhythms they produce, why we dance " on2 " to these rhythms, and we'll do some exercises to help you get the basics of dancing to the on2 time structure for you to take away and practice.
