Introduction to Pottery

This month, Art Café is excited to welcome professional potter and local artist Ros Arrowsmith to teach us how to hand-build our very own mug!
We will work together using the coiling technique to make a mug out of clay. Once constructed, you can decorate it with texture and pattern using tools that Ros provides and special ceramic paints. Be inspired by natural objects or ideas in your head.
Once finished, Ros will take the mugs to be fired and glazed and they will be available to collect about six weeks later. It should be worth the wait!
No expertise required. Children over the age of seven are welcome.
Come, learn, and enjoy this introduction to the joy of pottery!
Tea, homemade cake, and music will also be available.
Arrive from 2:45PM. Event from 3PM to 5PM on Saturday
