In partnership with Play On Shakespeare, Elm Shakespeare Company is offering a workshop that explores Shakespeare’s text in a fun, engaging, and accessible way.
Saturday, October 11: 5 Introduction to Play On Shakespeare & Charting of Macbeth
Following a brief introduction and demonstration from the Play On Shakespeare facilitators, the main portion of the workshop will be charting Macbeth. Charting is a visual exercise that maps a play. It is a useful analytical tool as well as a practical exercise for artists and audiences alike. Everyone is part of the process as readers, listeners, and charters.
Participants will also get a chance to try their hand at translating with a group exercise to translate the Prologue to Henry V.
This is the perfect workshop for theatre goers, writers, and educators who are interested in looking at Shakespeare through a different lens.
