Introduction to Orienteering- Meanwood Park

Looking for an opportunity to explore keep fit and socialise? Try orienteering!

Come along to our Introductory event at Meanwood Park on 8th Feb!

This event is perfect for newcomers with coaches on hand to explain everything. Tackle courses set around your local area by yourself or with friends and family.

With a range of distances on offer suitable to all fitness levels you will find something to enjoy!

Our club is ready to welcome you with a range of activities suitable for all levels of fitness.

Meet at: ///liability.wakes.broker. Assembly and start will be adjacent to the car park look for the AIRE feather and green tent.

Although there is a car park on Green Lane in the park it is often full. You are advised to park on surrounding streets and walk into the park.

We will be ready to see you from 1:00 pm. You can start at any time up to 2:30pm.

When you arrive you will receive a “Dibber” an electronic timing chip given the opportunity to look at the map before you start and an AIRE coach will be on hand to assist to talk you through what to do and answer any questions. The course start will be adjacent. There you receive the map for your course and you can start at intervals in your own time.

Entries are £1 for each person for their first course. After that there is no charge for running more courses.

Short medium and longer courses will be on offer - something for all ages & abilities.

No need for any special equipment just some trainers & a sense of adventure
