Come along and learn to navigate using map and compass while enjoying the surroundings of Dartmoor.
This workshop is designed to give to the introduction to safely navigation across familiar moorland paths and terrain.
This is an inclusive gentle and holistic approach to understanding, Map reading, compass bearings, map features and contours, interpretation of your surroundings and being adaptive in your own navigation.
Starting from Princetown carpark we will take a gentle stroll across paths and different terrain, learn about the landscape, and the technical aspects of navigation broken down into easy steps.
This is an all weather activity so come prepared with warm layers, waterproofs, drinks and lunch.
This is led by a female guide and tutor fully supportive .
I encourage accessible training and offer some free spaces for anyone who is nervous, or needs confidence, neurodivergent.
Over 18s only, unless accompanied by an parent, adult or guardian.
