Introduction to Native Plant Master: 1-Day Field Course

Have you thought about taking a Native Plant Master course but weren’t sure? Come join us at Rabbit Mountain during peak spring bloom to sample what it’s all about. Just like NPM courses, this NPM introductory field trip is for beginners as well as those with more knowledge. The class will be taught by Barbara Fahey, founder of CSU’s Native Plant Master Program.

Cost: $44.52 ($40 plus processing fees)

Location: Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain – 15140 N 55th St, Longmont, CO 80503

What to bring:

• Reference book - Colorado Flora 2nd edition by(Jennifer Ackerfield) *preferred/recommended (We will have a few copies that can be used during the course)
• Measuring device that shows decimeter measurements
• 10X-magnification hand lens (optional or recommended)
• Pencil
• Water and snacks
• Warm clothing, sunscreen, rain gear (Sessions will be held in almost any weather. Only in the event of extreme weather – for example, snow or hazardous lightning or continuous rain/muddy conditions – will class be canceled)
