Monotype is a direct & painterly method for producing unique prints, simply made by the transfer of ink from printing plate to paper. In this practical workshop session, we will explore various methods and materials (from direct transfer drawing, gelli plate to printing with the press) that can be used to create monotype prints, both in black & white and in colour.
Participants will be encouraged to experiment and explore monotype techniques for themselves using our workshop facilities to produce professional quality prints. This is an ideal course for beginners.
