Introduction to Microscopy with The Soil Keepers (In Person)

In this introduction course, we will work with botanical material, animal material, and geological materials and learn:

+ Parts of a microscope
+ Use and care of microscope and tools
+ Sampling decisions
+ Making dry and wet mounts
+ Identifying and interpreting certain biology and geological components
+ Making notes and storing slides

$145 for instruction, practice, tea/coffee and vegetarian lunch

25 people maximum (students who have completed a course with The Soil Keepers receive $25 discount)

Participants should bring:
• a sketch book and pen or pencil
•1-2 materials that they are curious about that they will sample and prepare slides
• Own: mug, bowl and spoon
