Introduction to Martial Arts

It can be intimidating to join classes at a martial arts studio when you are new to the skills, not sure you if you'll enjoy it, and have not yet made friends in your class. We host this one hour session to overcome all of that! Here, in a one hour class, you'll learn all the basic moves you need to get rolling, while also experiencing how a class works and how awesome our Black Belt instructors are to work with. This could be the start of your journey to be more confident in your ability to defend yourself in various situations, while also strengthening key mental skills like respect, discipline and listening. Whether you have dabbled in martial arts or you've never stepped foot on a martial arts mat, this is the session for you. See the schedule and sign up for the session designed for your age. Space is limited: Each one-hour session is limited to 18 participants.

Info: This session is designed for kids age 5 to 7. They will spend the hour on our mat learning our basic stances, kicks and strikes, while also discussing key principles like listening, respect and self-control. They will learn a lot while having lots of fun!

Info: This session is designed for youth ages 8 to 12. They will move quickly through basic stances and strikes, then begin basic defenses and combative moves in Krav Maga for self defense.

Info: This session is designed for teens, aged 13 and older, as well as adults. When partnering for skills, teens will partner with teens, and adults with adults, as we do in our regular classes. This group will focus on our core skills in Krav Maga, which are ideal for self defense.
