Introduction to Leather Sheath making with Katie Coleman

A good knife can last you a lifetime if you give it a good home. This class gives you the opportunity to do that. This class will teach you how to design, pattern, sew and treat either a pouch, split toe style or stud style sheath. This sheath can be made with or without a belt loop. We will explore different design aspects and options. Beginners welcome.

To participate in this class you will be required to bring a knife to pattern. What style sheath you make will be determined by the kind of knife you bring with you. Students are suggested to either bring an apron or wear clothes that can potentially get stained as it is possible this may occur in the process of finishing projects.

Refund Policy: Students who withdraw from a class up to two weeks before the class are eligible for a full refund less any transaction fees.

Additional Information:

• The class breaks for an hour lunch. You are welcome to bring your lunch or plan to grab something at one of the many local lunch spots. The instructor will be able to assist. Also, plan to bring a water bottle - classes are physically demanding.
• Wear appropriate clothing, preferably cotton, and close toed leather shoes or boots.
• Safety glasses will be provided. Gloves are available but not recommended.
