About this Event
Professionals interested in becoming registered collaborative professionals are invited to attend Introduction to Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice, presented by the Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association (CDAA).
This foundational course introduces participants to the collaborative model used to help families resolve separation and divorce matters respectfully and without going to court.
What is Collaborative Practice?
Collaborative Practice is an out-of-court approach to resolving family law matters. In this process, each party works with collaboratively trained professionals who are committed to helping families reach respectful, durable agreements without litigation.
Collaborative teams may include lawyers, financial professionals, and mental health professionals who work together to support informed decision-making, effective communication, and child-focused solutions.
This interdisciplinary approach helps families resolve issues constructively while preserving relationships and reducing the emotional and financial costs often associated with court proceedings.
About the Training
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to interdisciplinary collaborative practice and is one of the required courses for professionals seeking certification as a Registered Collaborative Professional.
Participants will learn the principles, structure, and practical application of collaborative practice, including the roles of interdisciplinary professionals and how collaborative teams work together to support families.
