Stuck for something to do with your horse on rainy days as we enter march? This demonstration will show how to start flexions with your horse from the ground, including a series of exercises which can be done in the stable.
In-hand work is useful for any horse in any discipline/ stage of training as they teach the language of the bit, meaning clearer communication when in the saddle, and a more supple, straighter horse.
There will be a mixture of different horses as the approach is different depending on conformation and experience.
The demonstration will be presented by Ellie King, a trainee teacher with the Ecole de Légèreté - a French classical dressage school founded by Philippe Karl, whose focus is education where the horse is put first.
Please bring a chair, there will be light refreshments and it very likely will be cold!
Tickets are £10 and can be purchased via the link in this event or at the door via PayPal or cash.
See you there!
