Discover the artistry of green woodworking on this immersive 4-day craft course, where you'll explore the advantages of working with fresh-cut, "green" wood straight from the forest. Guided by our skilled instructors, you’ll learn to cleave wood using traditional methods and then shape it with a shave horse, drawknife, chisels, and a pole lathe. By the end, you'll bring your work to life by crafting one of the following:- Green Woodworking Workshop Setup: Create essential tools like a beetle, a set of wedges, and a chopping block—everything a green woodworker needs.
- Stool: Build a rustic, three-legged stool with beautifully turned legs.
- Bench: Craft a sturdy, four-legged bench with your choice of turned or cleft legs.
*Choose your project before the course begins to ensure we have the perfect materials ready for you *
These hands-on techniques provide a foundation for future green woodworking projects like spoon carving and gate making. So join us in our inspiring woodland workshop and experience the natural beauty and craftsmanship of green woodworking for yourself!
