About this Event
The Internal Partnerships team, with the support of the Community Engagement department, aim to offer an experience where both the children and caregivers have the space to build a foundation of understanding of Girl Scouts. This series is specifically for families who expressed interest in a BIPOC Mentored Troop, providing a space for girls and their families to connect, meet other families, and engage in Girl Scout activities.
- The meetings are staff-led, but caregiver supported. Staff will demonstrate a "team-led" troop model by volunteering to co-lead one (1) meeting in the 6-month program. Caregivers will be asked to stay for the meeting and support activities, with the hope that they are learning hands-on how to be a Troop Leader.
- The meetings will meet the same day/time/location once a month for ~6 months. with the intention of creating a schedule example for potential Troop Leaders.
- Staff will lead by example and help build confidence and familiarity with Girl Scouts both with the Scouts and their caregivers.
We look forward to seeing you there!
