Introduction to Fun Scent Work

6 week course. Strictly limited to 6 dogs attending.

We have long banged on about the benefits of getting your dog sniffing. Now we have finally got around to putting a fun course together.

The group will be small, each handler and dog team will individually take part in a search at one time. Whilst you are awaiting your turn you can observe the search as we learn from watching others or take your dog for a stroll around the field.

You will learn how to work as a team, when to step back and when to help guide your dog. Our body language and verbal communication can be a great help and support done right, helping to strengthen that incredible bound even further.

Sniffing is a great way to provide mental stimulation, enrichment and physical exercise. Getting them focused on a task with you working along side them has huge benefits and goes along way to boosting your relationship.

Please bring you dog along on a harness.

Where to go

We are located in the Toplands car park in River Hamble country park / Manor Farm. As you enter the country park you will drive through the wooded area and pass an activity centre on your left, keep going, up the hill and past the Barnfield car park park the next turning on your left will be Toplands. We are at the end of the car park past the public dog walking area.

Please park inside the field. Parking charges are still in place and there is a machine that takes coins only in the Toplands car park on your left hand side.

By Signing up to working with Goodall Dog Training you agree to the following;

You will bring your dog to training sessions on a flat collar or body harness and fixed lead. choke/check chains, shock/spray collars and flexi leads are not permitted during training sessions.

The training you’ll be shown is motivational, reward based and force free. No aversive measures or harsh treatment will be tolerated and you will be expected to use food and toy rewards.

Whilst every care is taken, Steven Goodall and Corrin Goodall of Goodall Dog Training cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to persons, property or dogs during training sessions.

We keep all your personal details private and do not share information.

T&C’s Once booked you are committing to 6 consecutive weeks of training, unless discussed before booking is made or dates are mentioned above (no class August 4th). Missed sessions are non transferrable. Refunds are an option up to 7 days before your start date, if we can fill your space after this date we will also look to issue a refund but this is not always possible.
