Introduction to Forest Bathing: Supporting Mental Health in Nature
Advertisement
In partnership with Mental Health America MHA Lakeshore, join Certified Forest Bathing Guide Rachael Griffin of Haas Wellness for an introduction to forest bathing. This Japanese practice, Shinrin Yoku, uses mindfulness exercises or "invitations" amongst the trees providing the participant an opportunity to improve mental and physical health through immersion in nature. Studies have shown it can reduce blood pressure, improve immunity, and decrease depression and anxiety amongst other mental wellness benefits. Join us for a slow guided walk in the woods and a tea ceremony reception afterwards to connect with others & share our experience.
