An Introduction to ecoprinting.

Spend a wonderful day learning the basic technique of ecoprinting, transferring colour and shape from leaves onto paper and fabric.
You will learn about the different mordants to treat your paper or fabric to make the patterns light and washfast. The mordants can also affect the colours attained and we shall explore that.
There are many different leaves that can give images and you will learn about common accessible varieties and the colours they give.
There will be many samples produced on paper and fabric. At the end of the day, you will ecoprint a narrow silk scarf.
I will supply everything needed but you are welcome to bring any foliage you would like to try.
Please bring an apron and a bag to take your work home in. This workshop is suitable for beginners and as a recap for those that have already tried Eco Printing but wish to investigate it further.
£75 to include all materials, hot drinks, biscuits & cake. You may want to bring a packed lunch although we will break for lunch and there is a cafe and shop down the road. To book click ‘Going’ and PM Ditzy Rose or email [email protected]
