About this Event

This session introduces participants to contemporary dance practices combined with guided improvisation techniques. Through movement exploration, body awareness exercises, and creative tasks, you will be encouraged to discover your own movement language. The session focuses on freedom of expression, collaboration, and experimentation within a supportive and inclusive environment. Activities will include warm-ups, improvisation prompts, partner work, and short creative tasks where participants respond to music, space, and personal experiences through movement.

The session aims to:

  • Encourage creative expression through contemporary dance.
  • Support physical and mental well-being through movement, creativity, and mindful awareness of the body.
  • Foster collaboration and communication between participants.
  • Provide a safe space for self-expression and artistic exploration.

Contemporary dance and improvisation offer a space where you can move, experiment, and express yourself without pressure or judgment.

This session invites you to explore movement in your own way, connect with others, and take a break from everyday stresses. Through improvisation, you’ll have the opportunity to respond instinctively, take creative risks, and discover new ways of moving and thinking.

It’s not about being a perfect dancer: it’s about being present, curious, and open to exploring what your body can do. The session aims to support both your physical and mental wellbeing while creating a supportive environment where you can build confidence, creativity, and connection with others.
