About this Event

This class will walk you through the steps of crocheting a granny square, starting with fundamental skills like slip knots, picking the right hook for your yarn, holding your hook, chain stitches, reading diagrams, and weaving in your ends.

You will walk away with everything you need to keep on crocheting, ideas for your next project, and a frame to display your new creation!

All supplies included.

About the teacher:

Melissa Hawkins is a lifelong crafter and self-taught artist who works across many mediums, including drawing, painting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, and handmade jewelry. She believes the value of art lies in the act of making, not the final result.

She is constantly exploring new crafts and techniques, regardless of imperfection or how many unfinished projects she has piling up. Most pieces are made with the close supervision of her elderly diabetic orange cat, Honey, who faithfully keeps Melissa company and leaves her fur on every project.
