Introduction to Counseling Frameworks for Trauma and PTSD Treatment

This CEU course provides an introduction to five essential counseling frameworks and modalities designed specifically for trauma-related disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). The course will review the theoretical foundations of each modality, discuss the populations they are most effective for, and highlight the key clinical skills required for each therapeutic approach. Vanessa Valles, LCSW-S is a seasoned mental health professional with over 22 years of experience. As the owner of a private and group practice, she has dedicated the past 17 years to educating and mentoring other professionals.
