Introduction to Charcoal Art Workshop

Discover the expressive world of charcoal drawing in this beginner-friendly class designed for artists of all skill levels. Participants will learn the fundamental techniques of working with charcoal, including blending, shading, creating highlights, and building form and depth. Through guided practice, participants will apply these skills while drawing still life arrangements featuring flowers and fresh produce. Each registration includes a charcoal drawing set along with samples of white and toned papers commonly used for charcoal, giving students the opportunity to explore how different surfaces affect their artwork. Whether you’re new to drawing or looking to strengthen your artistic foundation, this class offers a fun and encouraging introduction to the unique qualities of charcoal.
All materials are included in your $40 class fee, and pre-registration is required as class size is limited to provide a more personal experience. All class fees paid are final and non-refundable unless the class is canceled by the instructor or Weaving Willow Craftworks.
