Introduction to Basic Recipe Preparation Class

This introductory course teaches learners the fundamental skills needed to successfully prepare and complete a simple recipe in a kitchen setting. Participants will learn how to read and follow recipe instructions, identify and use common kitchen tools and equipment, practice safe food handling techniques, measure ingredients accurately, and perform basic cooking methods.
*Participants will prepare protein bites, cut fruits and vegetables with a simple dip, bake chocolate chip cookies and/or banana zucchini bread, and cook a chicken stir-fry while learning basic cooking methods. Items will be consumed in class and taken home to enjoy.
