About this Event
Are you a Visual Artist in Thanet and new to Arts Council England?
Join us at Bon Volks Studios for an in-person introductory session on Arts Council’s funding programmes.
An Introduction to National Lottery Project Grants & Developing your Creative Practice – for first-time applicants with a Visual Arts practice.
In this event you will learn all about Arts Council’s funding programmes, National Lottery Project Grants (Under £30k) and Developing your Creative Practice, gain understanding on which fund may be right for your idea, and hear about how to apply. Your active participation is welcome, and time is scheduled at the end for us to explore any questions you may have as a group.
This session is open to people with a Visual Arts practice who have never applied to Arts Council England funding programmes before. By ‘Visual Arts’, we mean that you may have a practice in ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, craft, textiles, sound art, live and performance art, graffiti art or media arts.
If you have applied to National Lottery Project Grants recently, and did not receive funding, please join the event taking place at Turner Contemporary on Tuesday 21 January.
What this event will cover:
- About Arts Council England and the types of visual arts practices we fund.
- An introduction to National Lottery Project Grants and how to apply.
- What’s next after you apply and how we make our decisions.
- A brief introduction to Developing Your Creative Practice
- What’s the difference - which fund is best suited to your idea?
- What support is available to you?
If you have a project ready that you’d like top apply for, there will be an opportunity to sign up for a 1-1 conversation with a Relationship Manager at a later date.
