Introduction to Adlerian Counselling Course - Fully Online

IPT (Individual Psychology Training) presents "An Introduction to Adlerian Counselling." This 10 week course is suitable for those interested in finding out about whether they wish to pursue training to become a counsellor, as well as those who wish to engage in some personal development. It is also useful for those in other helping professions to develop listening and attending skills as well as some self awareness.

The psychological foundation is based on the Individual Psychology of Alfred Adler 1870-1937). Our philosophical framework is based on ethics of equality, respect, psychoeducation, collaboration and cooperation.The course can be part of the introductory hours required for entry to our Certificate in Adlerian Counselling (subject to interview).

The course will be delivered in a fully online format over 10 weekly live webinars on Monday evenings from 6pm-8.30pm.

Course content will cover basic counselling skills and an introduction to the theories and philosophy of Alfred Adler and their application. Much of the learning is experiential. We ask participants to keep a reflective journal. We also suggest some reading around Adlerian psychology.
