Introducing The Gaffers Duo

The Gafford Hamsters formed as a 5 piece band in Hamilton in 1985, and were busy on the local pub circuit for the next 18 months.
The band underwent quite a few lineup changes during that time but in 2018 two of the founding members, Grant Shaw and Denis Newby, decided to resurrect the band as a bit of a project calling themselves The Gaffers. They were pleased to be able to recently link up with former Gafford Hamsters, and Echoes drummer, Mike Stewart, and so the band was reborn as a power three piece.
As you would expect, their music is from the classic rock era, but the guys have been known to play a bit of modern material along with a few original tunes as well.
Back in the eighties the Hamsters were known for their hard rocking shows and this is still their trademark, so if you’re looking for a packed dance floor at your next function then you really need to give The Gaffers a call!
They also play as a duo with Denis on Bass and vocals, and Grant on Guitar and vocals, with some backing tracks for a fuller sound
