The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is a divination manual from ancient China. With a few coins and a book or online resources, we can consult this Oracle for elemental wisdom that's surprising in its accuracy as well as in its depth. By spending time with the text, we gain more than personal answers: we learn to harmonize ourselves with the the infinite changes this Universe presents.
Mystical Mac, a musician, seeker and sharer based in Montville, will present a beginner's class on the I Ching. Attendees will learn the history of the I Ching, how to cast an I Ching reading using coins, and how to interpret the reading using intuition, translations, and commentaries. Each person will have opportunity to cast their own readings and interpret the meaning. When the class is over, we will have the basic skills necessary to begin a personal practice with the I Ching.
Cost: $25
