Intro to the Embroidery Machine

Learn to use our Brother embroidery machine! This class covers the basics of setting up and safely operating the machine, the various hoop attachments, and a brief overview of the Floriani embroidery software available for use in the Textiles Lab. Each participant will get a chance to create a simple patch, featuring a short phrase. Make a name tag, a merit badge, or get weird! Completing this class allows you full access to the machine.

For learning purposes, we will be starting with simple polytwill patches (provided).

Loose long hair/clothing is not recommended as participants will be handling sharp tools/materials and needles

Extra materials provided: polytwill, stabilizer, and thread- est $5.00 per person.
