Intro to Showing Goats: Clipping and Ring Prep

Join us at Goat House Farm for a practical, beginner-friendly clinic focused on getting goats ready for the show ring. This class is designed for youth and goat owners who want to better understand the basics of preparing a goat for show, including clipping, trimming, presentation, and overall ring readiness.

During the clinic, we will talk about what a clean, well-prepared show goat should look like and how clipping and trimming can help highlight the goat’s structure and overall appearance. We will discuss basic grooming, show-day preparation, and how small details can make a big difference once you step into the ring.

This clinic will include hands-on learning along with demonstration and discussion in a real farm setting. Whether you are getting ready for your first show or just want to feel more confident preparing your goat, this class is meant to make the process feel more approachable, more practical, and a lot less like last-minute panic with clippers.
