When: Saturday, February 22nd
Time: 9:00am- 3pm
Where: Happily Ever Acres, Lake Wales, Fl
Cost: $125 for the day, lunch included. Payment required up front to hold spot, non-refundable.
Requirements: Negative Coggins and proof of Flu/Rhino vaccine
This Clinic is going to be super fun and very unique, so don’t miss your chance to participate!
We are going to start the morning off with proper introduction obstacles. Obstacles are a great tool for working on your communication with your horse and building confidence in your horse with new and uncomfortable situations. This is open to all levels of horse and handler, whether you and your horse are new to obstacles or you want to learn a new way to fine-tune your handling skills and communication with your equine partner.
You are welcome to do this portion in hand or under saddle if you and your horse are ready for that, the instruction would be the same either way. I recommend starting on the ground if you or your horse have never done obstacles before, or your horse is particularly nervous.
We will break for lunch at noon and lunch will be included for all participants.
After lunch, we will move onto the trailer loading portion. This portion will be great for horses that are nervous about the trailer and you often have to find yourself begging them to go in so you can make it to your destination on time. We will begin by problem-solving on a long line at a distance where I will show the handler how to clearly and effectively send their horse into the trailer from a distance.
After all participants have completed this portion, we will move onto the liberty loading portion for those who are ready to give it a try.
Everyone who participates in this clinic will walk away with a new mindset, skill set and tools to help better communicate with your horse and sticky situations!
