Latex is a fantastic material to work with, come and find out for yourself. Meet like-minded people who share your interests in a beautiful space, a minutes walk away from Greenwich park.
During the workshop you will learn how to appliqué latex onto a small sheet of latex you can later use as a patch on a latex garment. Alternatively you can bring your own latex garment to working on and design a small section of appliqué . This fun and laid back class will cover the basics of latex appliqué garment and will help you to figure out if you enjoy this decorative technique before investing in tools and materials to explore the process further.
What you will walk away with:
A piece of latex sheeting with your own appliqué design that you can use as a patch on a latex garment or your own garment decorated with a small section of appliqué.
Understanding about vegan latex and how to take care & love your items for longer.
Understanding of the tools and materials involved in working with latex.
This workshop is accessible for complete beginners. No previous garment making experience is necessary.
Tools and materials will be provided for your use during the workshop so no other investment is needed prior to attending.
Tea and coffee with a non-dairy milk will be provided.
Your Instructor
Rose has been working with latex 2012 and has sewn fabric garments most of their life. Their brand, Rose Noir Designs, centres around sustainability, inclusivity and body positivity.
