Get show-season ready at Silver Wind Stables with our IEA Prep Summer Camp!Designed for riders entering 4th through 12th grade, this camp introduces riders to the exciting world of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) while building confidence, horsemanship, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.
IEA is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting lifelong involvement in equestrian athletics. Using a unique draw-based team competition format, riders are not required to own their own horse or tack to participate — making the sport more accessible and affordable for young equestrians.
Throughout the week, campers will focus on riding skills, equitation, horse care, show preparation, teamwork, and learning the fundamentals of IEA competition. Riders will gain valuable experience practicing skills used in both the show ring and team environment while developing confidence both in and out of the saddle.
Camp will be led by Annie Specht, who has coached IEA teams for five years and has guided riders to success at the National level. With instruction tailored to each rider and access to both indoor and outdoor arenas, campers will enjoy hands-on learning, riding time, and fun-filled days at the barn.
Campers are also welcome to stay after camp until 3:00 PM to assist with beginner camps, help with horse care, and gain additional hands-on barn experience.
