Intro to Glass Mosaic

In this course you will learn how to make a colourful glass mosaic art piece. You will design, cut and shape glass pieces and arrange them into a mosaic. The finished piece can be used as decor, hung on the wall or used as a hot plate on your dining table.

At the end of the course you will have a completed glass mosaic that is 8"x8". Mosaic pieces will be grouted and framed by the instructor available for pick up the following week. The instructor will e-mail you when your piece is ready for pick up!

Classes are $129 and materials are included in the course cost. All classes take place at Maker Labs at 780 E Cordova Street in Strathcona.

This class is designed for ages 16+

When you arrive at MakerLabs please sign in at the front desk. There is free parking on Cordova Street and we have a free parking lot that is first-come-first-serve.

You will be working with glass. Expect a few cuts. Please wear simple, comfortable clothes and long pants with closed toed shoes. Safety glasses can be provided but please bring your own if that is comfortable for you.

Our studio is situated on the first floor of MakerLabs. There are three steps at the front entrance and there is a ramp available for accessibility at the side entrance. There are two single-occupancy all-gender washrooms available on the first floor.
