✨✨ Intro to Fast Dancing & Airsteps ✨✨Have you always wanted to feel more comfortable dancing fast? Have you been curious about learning your first airsteps in a safe, structured way?
This weekend workshop is designed for dancers eager to dive into fast Lindy Hop and learn introductory airsteps with strong technique and confident partner communication.
We’ll take inspiration from classic routines such as First Stops and the California routine, using them as a framework to explore speed and rhythm, clean movement, musical accents, and connection.
Airsteps Included
You’ll be introduced to classic Lindy Hop airsteps such as:
• A Frame
• Frog Jump
• Toss Out
All material will be taught progressively, with a strong emphasis on technique, safety, and clear communication between partners.
What You’ll Learn
• How to dance fast while staying relaxed and connected
• How to use rhythm, stops, and accents with intention
• How to approach airsteps safely and confidently
• How to build groove, timing, and body awareness at higher speeds

🩰 LEVEL
Open level, but participants should be comfortable with basic Lindy Hop moves such as the swingout, lindy circle, tuck turn, and basic Charleston. No prior experience with fast dancing, routines, or airsteps is required. This workshop is ideal for dancers who are curious about fast dancing and airsteps. No fixed partner is required for registration.
