Intro. to Dancing to Bellydance RhythmsWorkshop
Level: Intermediate (basic bellydance moves required)
This workshop is necessary for aspiring professionals,
as well as the casual student with the desire to truly and properly learn the art of bellydance.
Part 2. May be taken regardless of whether you take part 1 in Dec.,
as each class will vary and may be taken together or separately. Aspiring pros should complete the whole series.
Students will learn about the art of traditional improvisation and learn to hear, feel, recognize and dance to some of the traditional rhythms essential to bellydance.
This class is part lecture/sit down and learn rhythms, and part stand up and dance to the rhythms.
Please note: This is an intro. class. To truly master this art takes more than one workshop (it takes a whole program). This workshop will introduce you to the topic, and get you started on that path. This workshop is necessary for dancers who want to eventually become pro level (and recognized and respected as such), but, is also great for casual students who simply want to learn the art of bellydance correctly, as they learn for the fun of it.
Students who are interested in Pro Training must bring your dance binder.
