Students can expect to sample a wide swath of optional uses of clay, including: basic hand-building, surface-design techniques, finishing options, and a quick introduction to wheel-throwing. This is to help them decide if clay is for them, and if so, where they’d like to go next with it.
Getting to know “the feel” of clay is essential if you want to be successful with more advanced techniques, so if you are new to clay, this class is a prerequisite for taking any other class that Stray Cat Studio offers.
