Intro to Camping: Camping 101

We know you have thought about going camping and this is perfect time to learn. This class is held indoors, and you'll get to ask all the questions you have ever thought about. This will be am exciting learning experience where we will prepare you for your first or next campout.Who has heard "You have to sleep on the ground"? Camping is one of the great gateways to extending your time outdoors and enjoying nature. Star gazing at night to meditation during the day, camping fuels the soul and helps to re-energize us. However, Camping does require a few skills that anyone can master in a short time. This class will cover all the aspects of camping.

Throughout this class, you will learn the following:

• How to select and buy a tent
• How to set up a tent
• What to bring on a campout
• How to sleep outdoors from blow up mattresses to sleeping bags
• Reserving a camping site and how to find the right one with the right amenities
• Essential Gear
• Cooking outdoors, and cooking demonstration ( making a peach cobbler and Hobo Meal)
• Planning a weekend getaway
• Going to the bathroom (it's not what you think)
• Camping with kids
