Intro to Building with Earthbag

🌎 Join us Saturday, May 23rd for an Introduction to Building with Earth!

In this one-day hands-on workshop, we’ll be using leftover Superadobe earthbags to begin constructing the foundation for our Outdoor Wood-Fired Pizza Oven 🍕

🧱 In this One Day Workshop participants will learn basics of earthbag construction, soil mixing, and stabilized earth building techniques.

🛠️ Workshop Schedule:

• Introduction to clay and stabilized earth building

• Foundation prep and site work

• Hands-on earthbag filling and laying Bag

(Bring Gloves and Work Shoes or Boots )

🏠 While we won’t have enough time to fully explore earth dome construction, we are hoping to arrange a visit of the existing 18 diameter earth dome structure located at the Seneca Treehouse. (Watch for this on Airbnb in the coming month)

🥪 Please bring a sack lunch, we’ll continue the earthbag building discussion during the lunch break.

🌊 The Seneca Treehouse Project is located on Lake Hartwell, so feel free to bring a towel if you'd like to take a swim break. We also have an outdoor shower available on-site for clean off at the end of the day 🚿
