During this class, students will learn the introductory art of bookbinding while creating two different style books. We will begin by building signatures (a grouping of pages) that will be hand sewn into book blocks. The book blocks will then be encased in a finished cover. A second book will be designed using the piano hinge method. Each book can be further designed and personalized to meet the needs of the student. Both styles of bookbinding offer a great beginner's experience into the artistry of bookbinding! Instructed by Geraldine Johnson of Aspire Artisan Studios & Folk School.
