Especially for students new to tango — no prior dance experience is necessary! In this class, we will introduce new dancers to the essential basics: the tango embrace, traditional tango music, foundational figures, and the basics of navigating a social dance floor. This is also a great class for any dancer who wants to refresh their basics or learn a different role. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring thick socks to dance in!

Partners are not required, but it's great if you bring one! Students without a partner will be paired with another dancer, possibly of the same gender, and if so will learn how to both lead and to follow. **Advance registration and payment is required! Details and sign-up info at tangonorthside.com.
