No experience is necessary. All open roles are listed below.
This is a non-paid performing and volunteer opportunity.
There are nominal stipends available for certain offstage volunteer positions.

REHEARSALS AND TECH WEEK:
Rehearsals: There will be up to 25 rehearsals for this production, plus tech week and performances. The exact rehearsal schedule is to be determined (based on cast availability), but rehearsals are usually Sunday - Wednesday evenings. You will not be called to every rehearsal.
The rehearsal schedule intensifies as opening night draws closer. Tech Week: Sunday, January 19 - Thursday, January 23, 2025
**Tech week rehearsals can run later into the evening. Be aware that we must run the entire show each night and that will mean rehearsals can last longer.
Anyone with an active role during performances, including actors, tech/stage crew, and stage managers, must be available and present for all tech week rehearsals. If you miss

PLEASE LIST ANY AND ALL POTENTIAL DATE SCHEDULE CONFLICTS ON THE ONLINE FORMS. Casting and staffing decisions and rehearsal schedules are based in part on this information. We understand that sometimes things change, we need to be sure that everyone is available for all rehearsals when they are called.
PREPARATION - PERFORMERS:
Please bring a resume and recent headshot. Headshots do not need to be professionally taken.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, a movement audition, and a solo singing audition.
Please prepare a 16 to 32-bar cut of a musical theater song in the style of the show, as well as a short (1 minute or less) contrasting monologue. Please try not to exceed 3 minutes.
For the song portion, bring an instrumental track of the song of your choosing. There will be a Bluetooth speaker provided. No a capella. No sheet music.
Please wear or bring clothes and shoes that you can move in as well. You will learn a short movement piece, taught by our choreographer.
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS:
If you are unable to attend an audition, video submissions are accepted. Provide a copy of your resume and headshot, as well as a 1 to 1.5 minute long video of you singing a musical theatre song in the style of the show. These materials must be sent via email to [email protected] by November 3rd. Any submissions sent after the 3rd will not be accepted.

Narrator/Mysterious Man: 50+. Bass-Baritone (G2-E4). NARRATOR: An intellectual and pleasant story-teller who helps to orchestrate the show and illustrate lessons to the audience.
Doubles as MYSTERIOUS MAN: A mischievous vagrant and nosy meddler. He is a good-natured protector and observer.
Cinderella: 20’s. Soprano (A♭3 - G5). A young, earnest maiden who is constantly mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters. This role may also require some intimacy.
Jack: teens to 20’s. Tenor (A2 - G4). The feckless Giant killer who is 'almost a man.' He is adventurous, naive, energetic, and bright-eyed.
Milky White Puppeteer: Female or Female Presenting. Any age. Non-vocal role. Jack’s pet cow and best friend. Will double as either SNOW WHITE or SLEEPING BEAUTY.
The Baker: 30’s - 40’s. Baritone (A♭2 - G4). A harried and insecure baker who is simple and loving, yet protective of his family. He wants his wife to be happy and is willing to do anything to ensure her happiness but refuses to let others fight his battles.
The Baker’s Wife: 30’s - 40’s. Mezzo-Soprano (G3 - G5). Determined and bright woman who wishes to be a mother. She leads a simple, yet satisfying life and is very low-maintenance yet proactive in her endeavors.
Cinderella’s Stepmother: 40’s - 50’s. Mezzo Soprano (A3 - F♯5). The mean-spirited, demanding stepmother of Cinderella.
Florinda and Lucinda: 20’s. Soprano (C4 - A♭5). Cinderella's stepsisters who are black of heart. They follow in their mother's footsteps of abusing Cinderella.
Jack’s Mother: 50+. Soprano (B♭3 - G♭5). Browbeating and weary, Jack's protective mother who is independent, bold, and strong-willed.
Little Red Riding Hood: teens to 20’s. Mezzo-Soprano (B♭3 - F5). A spoiled young girl who is strong-willed, quick-witted, fearless, yet youthful and naive.
The Witch: 30’s - 40’s. Mezzo-Soprano (F3 - F♯5). Sarcastic, ugly-then-gorgeous, obsessive protector of Rapunzel who is straightforward and aggressive.
Cinderella’s Father: 50+. Speaking Role. Doesn't care about his daughter's well-being or her actions. Will double as PUPPETEER
Cinderella’s Mother/Granny/Giant: 50+. Soprano (E4 - F5). CINDERELLA’S MOTHER: Deceased with her soul guarding and aiding her daughter from a tree. Doubles as GRANNY: A feisty woman who is not afraid to fight the Wolf face to face, and GIANT: Voiceover. The Giant's wife is an angry and vengeful 'monster.' She is seeking restitution for her loss.
Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf: 30’s. Baritone (B♭2 - G♭4). CINDERELLA’S PRINCE: Vain and gorgeous, he is a disloyal lover who is currently searching for the next new, exciting thing. Doubles as THE WOLF: Hungry and insatiable hunter who takes advantage of the weak by misleading and captivating his prey.
Rapunzel: 20’s-30’s. Soprano (B3 - A5). A loopy-but-lovely maiden who is sheltered by the Witch and terribly lonely. She yearns to experience the world.
Rapunzel’s Prince: 30’s. Baritone (C♯2 - G♭4). Just as vain and gorgeous as his Prince brother, he is always chasing the newest, most exciting endeavor.
Steward: 40’s - 50’s. Speaking Role. The servant of Cinderella's Prince. He is dependable and willing to do whatever Cinderella’s Prince asks. Will double as PUPPETEER.
Snow White and Sleeping Beauty: 20’s - 30’s. Speaking Roles. Two other maidens in the woods. Will double as either MILKY WHITE or PUPPETEER.
* If auditioning for either MILKY WHITE, CINDERELLA’S FATHER, STEWARD, or SNOW WHITE and SLEEPING BEAUTY, be prepared for a short puppetry audition. Puppets will be provided.
