Intimate partner violence doesn't happen in a vacuum — it's shaped by systems
About this Event

Intimate partner violence doesn't happen in a vacuum — it's shaped by systems that have long kept certain people from being believed, protected, or safe. This workshop looks at what IPV is, how it operates in our communities, and how everyday people can respond in ways that actually help. You'll walk away with tools and resources to:

  • Understand how systems like policing, housing, and immigration shape survivors' options and safety
  • Recognize IPV in its many forms
  • Talk about abuse in ways that support rather than blame survivors
  • Know what to say (and what not to say) when someone discloses to you
  • Take concrete steps to be a resource in your community – without having all the answers
