Janáček’s celebrated string quartet ‘Intimate Letters’ is brought to life with readings of the Czech composer’s candid and personal writing performed by actor Paul Hawkyard (King Minos, Monster in the Maze, 2024) and interspersed between the music. This captivating work is preceded by a Schubert masterpiece for string quartet, ‘Death and the Maiden’.
