Interwoven: Rest, Release, Renew - Restorative Yoga Event for SOF Spouses

Special Operations Forces spouses are invited to join The Station Foundation for Interwoven: Restorative Yoga, a deeply supportive practice designed to calm the nervous system, ease accumulated tension, and invite the body into true rest.

This gentle, hour-long session focuses on fully supported postures held for extended periods, allowing the body to soften without strain. Using props such as bolsters, blocks, and straps, each shape is designed to encourage release in areas where stress is often stored, particularly the hips, shoulders, and lower back, while creating a sense of safety and steadiness.

Restorative yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system, guiding the body into its natural state of recovery and regulation. By intentionally slowing down, participants create space for physical ease, mental clarity, and emotional balance. Over time, this practice supports resilience by replenishing energy rather than depleting it.

No experience is necessary. Simply come as you are and allow yourself permission to rest, breathe deeply, and be supported.

• Hand-size towels may come in handy. 
• Water is highly recommended. Please come to class well-hydrated.
• The studio is equipped with all the additional equipment for our class. 
• You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you prefer.
• Come dressed in athletic, easy-to-move-in clothing.
• We will remove our shoes for part of class.
• Water and light snacks will be provided.

Additionally, please note that childcare is not available for this event, and children may not attend. Thank you for respecting this policy, as it ensures a space free of distractions for the attendees.

Cancellations:

If you can no longer attend this event, we kindly ask that you let us know at least 72 hr prior to the event so we can accommodate a participant on the waitlist.
