Special Operations Forces Families are invited to join The Station's Family Book Club for a story book hour featuring A Bad Case of Stripes for families with children (preschool through third grade). The benefits of storytime are not limited to cognitive development but are rather much deeper. Reading together has a monumental impact on social, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive development. It strengthens relationships, encourages healthy listening, and provides families with opportunities to discuss emotions and increase emotional fluency.
A Bad Case of Stripes is the story of a young girl who worries too much about fitting in with her peers. This story explores the risks of peer pressure and encourages children to embrace what makes them special.
Parents and children alike will benefit from this stress reducing opportunity to connect and spend quality time together.

Event Details:
- Children of all ages are welcome. The content is most suitable for ages 0-9.
- At least one parent must remain present.
- Children may bring one stuffed animal and a blanket to sit on.
- All materials will be provided.
Please invite a friend within the Special Operations Community who is new to The Station.
This is a first come first serve event with a maximum capacity of 10 families. We kindly request a cancellation notice no less than 72 hours prior to the event. Thank you for your consideration.
