Cardiac Procedural/Surgical IMCU Overview:
This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers.
• Provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.
• Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.
