Intertwine Connect featuring Confluence Environmental Center

Dear friends and partners,

The Intertwine Alliance continues its Intertwine Connect series with a January event featuring coalition partner Confluence Environmental Center.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• 4 p.m. - Casual social time with your amazing Intertwine Alliance community. Beer, cider and nonalcholic drinks are available for purchase. Tasty food available from food carts on site.
  
• 5:30 p.m. - Quick hello from Intertwine Alliance board members and staff, followed by a 30-minute presentation by Confluence Enviromental Center.
  Similar to other organizations that lost federal funding in 2025, Confluence has had to show incredible resilience to sustain its AmeriCorps program in its 15th year of advancing environmental equity. Confluence will share the journey of adapting its career and leadership development program to continue receiving federal funding-- while still meeting its environmental justice mission.
  The Confluence team looks forward to meeting organizations interested in partnering to creatively expand green workforce development opportunities in Oregon and Washington.

• 6 to 7 p.m. - More mixing and mingling

The event is free. Please consider supporting local business Gigantic with a drink purchase.

Accessbility info: All bathrooms are single use and big enough to accommodate ADA needs. There are no stairs at the venue. Gigantic does not have a parking lot or any ADA-designated parking spaces.

We've found there to be plentiful street parking in the neighborhood, and there are bike racks at the taproom.

The venue is 21+. Sorry, we love hosting kids and youth, and will look for an all-ages location next time.

Intertwine Connect is a quarterly series of happy hours, trivia and bingo nights, and other fun activities to help Intertwine Alliance partners and friends build community, network and stay connected. Intertwine Summits are wonderful, but they only happen every 18 months. We need more time together! Gatherings are planned and hosted by our Board Small Events Committee, aka the party planning committee.
