Toales Bar in Dundalk braces itself for a loud, fast and forward-facing night this Friday, 27 February, as INTERROBANG‽, The Gakk, and Molly Vulpine Band tear into the stage from 8pm.Headliners INTERROBANG‽ are not here to relive punk — they’re here to weaponise it. Formed in 2012 by Dunstan Bruce and Harry Hamer of Chumbawamba alongside Griffin of Regular Fries, the band was built for those who grew up on punk’s ideals and refuse to let them fossilise. No nostalgia, no heritage act comfort blanket — just uneasy, abrasive forward motion. Their self-described agit-punk-funkstorm is angular, tense and wired, delivered in tight, urgent blasts that buzz with confrontation.
Flying the local flag are Dundalk’s most established punk acts - THE GAKK. Fueled by the DNA of the punk sound of '77, The Gakk channel the raw spirit of punk through fast, aggressive guitar riffs, relentless drumming and gritty vocals. Their songs explore social commentary, political tension and personal hardship, serving as a call to challenge the status quo.
Completing the bill, MOLLY VULPINE BAND bring riotous rock built on anthemic bass hooks, unruly guitar chords, and a unique vocal performance from the powerhouse that is Vulpine. It’s swaggering, confrontational and heavy with intent — a perfect fit for a night that’s all about impact over restraint.
Toales continues to stand as one of Dundalk’s essential rooms for original music, and this show leans hard into that reputation. No frills. No looking back. Just punk energy, live and unapologetic.
