About this Event
Following repeated requests from many interpreters, Zakon are pleased to announce that we are running another workshop for interpreters ten years after our first. This fantastic event is likely to get booked up very quickly.
This is suitable for both experienced interpreters and those new to role or indeed those wanting an insight into possibly working in police/court settings. The workshop is suitable for both spoken and sign language interpreters and our highly acclaimed workshops have received great feedback from the vast mix of roles and experiences of our delegates.
The workshop includes inputs on both witness and suspect interviews with interactive exercises. The training includes recent legal and procedural updates, particularly those affecting interpreters. The training is led by an advanced police interviewer with 30 years’ experience of serious and major crime training/investigation and particular experience of working with and training interpreters. The workshop will be running from 10-4pm and includes time to network. Certificates of attendance will follow as well as a whole host of reference materials from the workshop for continuing CPD.
The venue is located in Lincoln and is priced at £150 (plus Eventbrite fee) including VAT, food, refreshments, training and all materials. For further details, you can email [email protected].
We have seen thousands of interpreters over the last ten years and look forward to welcoming those returning and those for the first time. Places are strictly limited to 40 and the Eventbrite link will close as soon as this figure is reached as many book directly.
